SeeD Test Answers
At any time after the field exam you can take SeeD Written
Tests from either your desk in the classroom, or from the Tutorial Menu. You can take tests up to the Level you are on, you
can take it as many times as you want, if you miss any. I wouldn't take any tests once you reach rank A because if your rank
goes down, you will have a couple tests left to make it up.

Finding the Ragnarok on disc 4
When you first arrive at Edea's House during Disc 4, go towards the lighthouse/beach area and watch a FMV of Ultimecia's Castle.
Head north; you will be walking on a large metal chain. There will be three portals on the west side of the screen; each takes
you to a different location on the world map. Take the middle one (face it and press X to jump over to it). Enter the portal;
it will take you to Centra's Serengetti Plains just a bit north of the Centra Ruins. Check the World Map; you will see two
red dots--the red dot which is not at Fisherman's Horizon is the Ragnarok (the red dot at Fisherman's Horizon is Balamb Garden).
There is a bay of water to the north. Go to the west and swing around the bay; then continue east (and slightly north) until
you reach The Tricky Chocobo Forest, which is nestled in a semi-circle of mountains on the Nectar Peninsula, almost due south
of Fisherman's Horizon. Ride a Chocobo out of the Forest (if you haven't completed the Forest before this point, you can either
complete it now or "buy" a Chocobo from the ChocoKid), and go to the beach south and slightly west of the Centra
Ruins. Cross the shallow water, going generally to the west, till you reach a beach north of Edea's House. Proceed to the
east, then north (you can stay on the Chocobo the whole way--there's a small gap in the mountains to go through), until you
reach the Ragnarok, which is in the Kashkabald Desert. Near the Ragnarok is another portal. If you enter it, a fourth portal
will appear by the chain at Ultimecia's Castle (go back through to get back to the Ragnarok). You can now fly the Ragnarok
around wherever you like, although there are certain places you cannot enter because of time compression--most towns are non-enterable,
most dungeons are enterable. Enter any of the four portals on the world map to return to Ultimecia's Castle.
Initial SeeD rank
Here is how to get full marks during your SeeD test to get a high SeeD level upon graduation. You will be marked on Conduct,
Judgment, Attack, Spirit and Attitude. The maximum rank you can graduate with is 10. How you get this depends on how you fare
in the Fire Cavern and on the Dollet Mission. Conduct-You are judged here by the remainder of time on your escape
from the Dollet mission. If you return to the beach with 25mins left you get 100 points, 20mins left, 70 points, 15mins left,
40 points, 3mins left, 10 points, less than that, 0 points. Judgement-This is done in the Fire Cavern. It depends
on how close to your chosen time limit you defeat Ifrit. If you win the battle with Ifrit with only 7secs left you get 100
points, 1min left, 70 points, 10mins left, 40 points, 15+mins left, 0 points. Attack-This is based on how many enemies
you defeat on the Dollet Mission without GFs. 75+ enemies = 100 points, 20-24 enemies = 50 points, 10-14 enemies = 20 points,
below 10 = 0 points. Spirit-This is worked out from the amount of times you run away from fights on the Dollet mission.
1- escapes =100 points, 2 escapes = 70 points, 5-9 escapes = 30 points, 10+ escapes = 0 points. Attitude-This is
worked out on the Dollet Mission. It starts on 100 points and the number of points you have will decrease according to the
following: Don't talk to anybody outside of your party (except for Selphie) Don't go to the Communications tower from
the Town Square with Seifer's HP at 0. Walk round to the communications tower. Do not jump off of the ledge after Selphie
does. Get rid of the dog during the chase with X-ATM092. Don't hide in the pub during the chase with X-ATM092. You
can also get a 100 point bonus if you manage to defeat X-ATM092. Seifer' Gunblade-Seifer, like Squall has a gunblade.
You will know that pressing R1 at the right time gives Squall a critical hit, but when you are controlling Seifer on the Dollet
mission, pressing R1 at the right time also maximises his hits. It is harder to do though as Seifer's slashes are faster than
Squall's.
Quick AP and EXP
After getting the Ragnarok in Disc 3, have Quistis in your
party and make sure she has the Blue Magic: Degenerator. Keep her HP low and, if you want, equip her with the Initiative
ability so she has the first turn in battle. Take the Ragnarok and land it at the Esthar Air Station (which is a round
landing pad near the middle of Esthar City). Once you exit the Ragnarok, walk along the path towards the city.
At this point you should be able able to go north or south, go south (bottom of the screen). Follow this path through
the next screen (there's a save point in the middle of this one). Once you are at the next screen, take the path
leading towards the center of the city (there are yellow arrows on the ground pointing the way). OK, we're finally here.
Go down the stairs to the right and speak to the man dressed in dark clothing who appears to be sitting on the side of the
walkway. He will say, "hahahhaaehehe" or something to that effect. Then, you will enter into a battle with an
Elnoyle, which are somewhat hard to find. Right away, use Quistis' Degenerator attack. By defeating the Elnoyle,
all of your characters will gain more than a level and 18 AP (almost as much as Cactuars give, but they don't give you any
EXP). The man in dark will disappear after you defeat the Elnoyle, but all you have to do is walk off to the next screen
and come back and he's there again. Another plus to defeating the Elynoyle is that it will drop, most of the time, 2
or 3 Energy Crystals, which are really hard to get anywhere else. You'll need these for getting Squall's ultimate weapon,
the Lionheart (refine them into Pulse Ammo) and Quistis' ultimate weapon, Save the Queen.

Quick AP
To get easy AP fight cacti on "cactuar island". You get 20 AP for each cactus you kill. They do tend to run away
so be quick. This is a good way to get those all important GF abilities. Sent in from Frank Van Meensel.
Quick AP
The easiest way i have found to gain levels and ap is on disk 2 when you enter seifers garden. Go to the
hockey rink and keep fighting the hockey players. You gain 9-12 ap per fight and gain a level every 2 fights. It helps to
have someon junctioned with stat-a- with death, counter and cover.

Quick EXP
You can level up and get tonnes of EXP on the Island closest to
Heaven, the furthest Island on the east of the map, or the Island closest to Hell, the furthest Island to the West of the
map. Use Quisits as part of your team and junction the initiative ability to her making sure her HP is very low. On
either of these Islands are probaly the hardest monsters in the game, but Quisits limit breaker degenerator kills any of them
in just one shot. Just use it straight away in every battle and be careful to save every now and again in case the monsters
come in pairs and you lose all your hard work.

Resetting card rules
You can get rid of the random rule in a card game - when you have just gained a rare card go straight to Balamb harbour and
challenge the man to cards. He is wearing brown and knealing next to the water. He will automatically get rid of all your
current card rules including the annoying random rule. Sent in from Elona Cloraise.
Easy gil trick
Go to a store and buy as many Tents as possible,
at the cost of 1000 gil a piece. Then, use the Recover Med-RF ability to refine four Tents into one Mega-Potion, which can
be sold for 7,500. This gives you a profit of 3,500 gil!
Also, this can be done with Cottages,
at a cost of 1250 each. Cottages refine at 2 to one Mega-Potion, which then provides a profit of 5,000 gil!
Each time you go into a shop,
for 225,000 gil, you can buy 100 Tents and 100 Cottages, which then refine into 75 Mega-Potions. After selling these,
you make a whopping profit of 337,500 gil, without having to search for any rare materials!!!

The Organ in the Chapel (disc 4)
First you need to find the Floodgate Key. If you follow the top-left hall from the Front Foyer, you'll eventually
run into the two elevators. Place two male members and a female member on the top elevator and the bottom elevator.
The lighter party will get lifted up from the heavier elevator(top) and you'll reach the door that leads you to the Floodgate
Key.
After getting the Floodgate Key, take it to the Dungeon area where you find Iron Giant and Gargantua.
You'll see a lever in the middle of the dungeon area where it should let you use the Floodgate Key. (This will stop the
water keeping from flowing.)
As soon as you finish, head to the organ in the Chapel. The organ is used for getting the door of
spears in the dark room where is found at the right of the fountain in front of the Chapel. To get rid of all of the
spears, you need to hit all eight keys(buttons) on the organ. This will retract the spears and lets you be able to walk through the door.
Once the gate is completely lowered, walk down to the far end of the canal
and you'll discover a box. Open the box of course, and you'll find the Rosetta Stone. Also, there will be a door
that lead to the cell where you fought the Iron Giant.
